While staying at a resort on bloody bay , we discovered the Treehouse beach bar. It was the best thing that could have happened to us. If you’re looking for that sort of vacation entertainment, you might want to look elsewhere. Tucked amidst lush and beautiful gardens, the small Negril Tree House Resort isn’t hard to spot among the other hotels on busy Norman Manley Boulevard. While the main highway can be dangerous for pedestrians, guests can walk along the beach to a wide variety of restaurants, bars, shops, and activities. In the kitchen, guests will find a refrigerator, kitchenware, an oven and a microwave.

Negril was the destination of choice for free and fun-loving hippies in the 1960s. Gail Jackson, the friendly innkeeper at the Negril Treehouse Resort, is no hippie, but she did fall in love with the area and her future Jamaican husband in 1981, during her first visit. Judging from the many repeat guests here, it seems plenty of visitors have fallen for the charms of this former engineer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She’s always around the resort, greeting guests and making sure everything in her slice of paradise runs smoothly.
Central location on Negril’s Seven Mile Beach
The large and airy Tree Top Standard Rooms border the road that seperates the tropical gardens from the beach property of the resort. High peaked bleached-wood ceilings are graced with a wood-paddle ceiling fan, and large wooden-louvered windows line the walls. Balinese decor of dark-wood flooring, canvas drapes, tapestry pillows and bed throws complement... Beach Bar and GrillThe resort also has a casual open-air restaurant directly on the beach.
An extra twin bed can be added to sleep five people. The kitchens include a refrigerator, stove and microwave. For many, Jamaica remains the quintessential Caribbean island – lush, informal and incredibly tropical. It’s captivating blend of transparent waters, silken beaches, dense jungle, mountain interior, pulsing reggae and genuine hospitality is irresistible. British, West African, Irish and Welsh influences have produced a unique variation of English, Indian and spicy, distinctive Jamaican cuisine here. Seafood is dependably fresh and very well-prepared.
The beachfront restaurant and bar occasionally host live music, and though the scene is lively, it's not out-of-control spring break style. The property doesn't offer all-inclusive dining packages but that's part of the appeal for some, as it allows guests to explore off-site restaurants. The free breakfast buffet is served overlooking the beach and gets great reviews.
